Priestly Blessing

'The LORD bless thee, and keep thee; The LORD make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee; The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace'. These ancient and moving words, which appear in the Bible (Numbers 6:24-26), the priests blessed the people of Israel in the desert. Since then, this blessing has been combined with prayer and the blessing of parents for their sons. . Excavations at a burial cave on the shoulder of Hinnom in Jerusalem revealed two tiny silver plates scrolls that served as an amulet. On one of them are engraved the words of 'priestly blessing'. Their restoration in a modern design makes it possible to experience again the carrying of the earliest verses discovered outside the books of the Bible, close to your heart.
