This design was inspired by the golden bell. Dated to the Second Temple period, approximately two-thousand years ago, this unique arcaeological find is made from pure gold and slender, delicately curved sides, measuring about one centimeter wide. Found whole and in perfect condition, its ring echoes from the past. The bell very well might have belonged to an individual of high status; perhaps even the high priest, as the bible states: "They made bells of pure gold.. on the hem of the Robe, all around" (Ex. 39:25). The bell was found at the foot of the Temple Mount, in a water channel that runs beneath the Herodian Road, which ascends from the Shiloah Pool to the Western Wall.
