A pack of 5 puzzles for children – The Shiloach Pool Puzzle
The Shiloah Pool at the City of David, which collects the water that flows from Hezekiah’s Tunnel, was used by pilgrims during the first and second Temple periods as a place of ritual immersion before ascending to the Temple. The priests serving in the Temple would also draw water from this pool to pour onto the altar on the festival of Sukkot, a ceremony known as Simchat Beit Hashoeva (the water drawing celebration). The pool’s waters were also used for the sin offering in the Temple.
