Half Shekel Gold 14K

The Half Shekel coin necklace draws inspiration from a coin dating back to the late First Temple period. This coin, valued at half a shekel, was traditionally donated to the Temple for purchasing sacrifices for the entire nation. The coin's front side features a branch with three pomegranates and an inscription in ancient Hebrew: 'Holy Jerusalem.' The reverse side bears the inscription 'Half Shekel' with the Omer Cup (a Temple vessel) in the center and the letter A above it, signifying the first year of the Great Revolt against the Romans. This historic coin was discovered during a soil sifting project originating from the Temple Mount. The necklace is crafted from yellow gold.
