Queen Helene Pearl Earrings (S).

This is a pair of small gold plated silver earrings from the Queen Helene collection, with a red carnelian gemstone at their center. The earring’s design was developed from a 2,000 year old original earring found during excavations in ancient Jerusalem. The style of the design was apparently characteristic of the fashion style during the Second Temple era in Jerusalem, under the influence of the Roman culture which reigned at that time.
