14K Gold Ring

Approximately 2,300 years ago, during the Hellenistic period, a small gold ring set with a gemstone, likely a ruby, was crafted.

Thanks to the noble properties of gold, the ring was preserved remarkably well until it was discovered during excavations at the Givati Parking Lot in the City of David, shining as brightly as the day it was made.

This find, along with other jewelry from the same period, reshapes our understanding of Hellenistic Jerusalem.

Instead of a small and impoverished city, a picture emerges of a more expansive and affluent city, influenced by the regional Hellenistic culture.

Inspired by this exciting discovery, we have created a unique 14K yellow gold ring, handcrafted and set with a natural marquise-shaped ruby.
