A stainless steel laser cut matzah holder, embellished with an modern and colorful adaptation of the “Freedom of Zion” coin. This coin belongs to a series of famous coins that were minted during the Jewish Revolt against Rome. On one side of coin is a grape leaf and the words “Freedom of Zion” and on the other side is a goblet with the words “Year Two” (67/68 CE, the second year of the Great Revolt). This coin was discovered during the Temple Mount Sifting Operation at the Emek Tzurim National Park on the Mount of Olives. Similar coins were also discovered at the Shiloach Pool Excavations at the City of David.
