22K gold plated silver necklace. The pendant on this necklace was inspired by a 1400-year-old Jewish treasure that has recently been found. The rare treasure contained various coins and gold bars, but in addition also contained a large and beautiful pure gold medallion, along with a gold chain made by an artist with other small medallions - which was probably used as a jewel for a Torah scroll. On the medallion are stamped the temple lamp, shofar and Torah scroll, on the jewel are additional medallions with ornaments.

My wife is very happy with the necklace. It's beautiful, looks ancient and authentic and is an excellent length. The chain isn't removable to use a larger chain with larger clasp without taking it to a jeweler. But it's wonderful as is.
My new menorah pendant is absolutely beautiful. I love that it's a replica of the [larger] one unearthed in Dr. Mazar's dig. Although I also liked the silver version of this necklace, I chose the gold plated one because the treasured original is gold. I was concerned that the length of the necklace listed was only 16.5", which is shorter than I wear necklaces. I liked it enough that I ordered it anyway, thinking that I would have to use an extender on it. When it arrived, I was very pleased to see that the chain measures just over 20", with the final two inches made of larger links so that the length can be adusted between 18" and 20". Due to the construction of the chain, the pendant is not removable, which in this case is fine with me, as it's a very nice chain.
